Peer Review Process

TS.> Tijdschrift voor Tijdschriftstudies/ TS.> Journal for the Study of Periodical Media is an academic electronic journal into periodical media research. Articles are written on the basis of a well-defined problem and/or a research question that is systematically and transparently explored.

All articles submitted to TS·> are initially assessed by a managing editor, who decides whether or not the article is suitable for peer review in relation to the scope of the journal and the article type. Submissions considered suitable are assessed by means of a double-blind peer review procedure. This means that an anonymized version of the article will be reviewed by one or more external referees, and will be commented upon by these referees and by the editors. This assessment results in a decision that accepts the article, rejects it, or accepts it with revisions. In the latter case, the author will rewrite the article based on editorial instruction.

We work hard to make this process as fast and efficient as possible. We also ask our reviewers to provide (in)formative feedback, even if an article is not deemed suitable for the journal.
